Our aim is for everyone to thrive in their roles. That’s why we’re committed to enabling staff’s full participation through promoting workplace flexibility and the provision of reasonable adjustments for staff that require modifications. We empower teams to work from a strengths-based approach, to problem solve and work with authority and autonomy. Staff are supported to work to their top of practice and organise themselves to best respond to client needs and improve client outcomes. See below what benefits our team members look forward to when they work at cohealth:
We strive to have an inclusive workplace culture, where people experience belonging and feel safe to bring their whole selves to work. We promote workplace inclusion through: • An organisational culture that promotes human rights and anti-discrimination • Regular learning opportunities • Inclusion champions within local teams • Ensuring our physical environments accessible and inclusive • Flexible work options and reasonable adjustments
Our health and wellbeing committee promotes staff physical, emotional and social wellbeing through a range of site based and whole of organisational initiatives.
We aim to provide evidence-based, high quality, equitable, accessible and safe service delivery. We are committed to supporting the professional growth of staff, and offer a range of formal and informal learning spaces for staff to learn and reflect on practice.
All cohealth staff are entitled to receive a free flu shot. Just prior to winter, we provide multiple opportunities to get the vaccination across a number of cohealth sites. You can also get your vaccination at another provider – like a GP or chemist – and cohealth will reimburse you.
Each year, staff come together to celebrate the year, acknowledge achievements and connect in a fun and family-friendly all staff event.
There are spaces for people to come together to share experiences and connect • Mental health peer network • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander group – Balit Narrum • LGBTIQA+ group (A2Z) • Currently establishing a Black, Indigenous and People of Colour staff support network
cohealth recognises your personal, family and relationship commitments by facilitating flexibility in employment and working arrangements to achieve the optimum balance between work and personal responsibilities.
