About the role
The Practice Manager is responsible for the day to day running of cohealth AoD medical clinics based in the CBD. This includes managing an existing clinic at Bourke St and a new cinic at the new Flinders St Hub. The Practice Manager provides high level support to General Practitioners and other Practice Staff to ensure the smooth running of the clinics.

Major areas include financial management, management of rosters and scheduling, setting up of new doctors, and ordering equipment/consumables.

Your duties include:

  • Work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff, to ensure the smooth running of the practices
  • Work with Finance business partners to manage financial performance including expenditure, billing and other income
  • Ensure the safety and integrity of client information through appropriate management of client records and transmission of information
  • Engage with cohealth AOD leadership and staff to identify opportunities to enhance the work of the clinic

Our ideal candidate:

  • Appropriate qualification in health, administration, or business, which will need to be sighted during the recruitment process
  • Extensive experience in working in GP and/or other health fee for service settings optimally in a practice management role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule including ability to maximise Medicare and other income sources
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills including working as part of a multidisciplinary team
