About the role
This position is part of the Community-Based Drug and Alcohol Responses Directorate which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people who use alcohol and other drugs. The Community Engagement Leader (CEL) is accountable for the integrity, governance and performance of the organisation's community engagement and participation function, leading the development and implementation of community engagement frameworks and ensuring consistent practice standards across the Community-based Drug and Alcohol Response programs.

Your duties include:
- Lead the development and implementation of organisation-wide engagement frameworks regarding drugs and alcohol, collaborating with stakeholders and consumers
- Lead the development and implementation of organisation-wide drug and alcohol engagement strategies that facilitate participation between community members, service providers, and government
- Develop and governs organisation-wide harm reduction frameworks and strategies to minimise individual harm and community impact of drug activity
- Lead stakeholder negotiations in relationship to 244 Flinders St and the CBD Reference Group

Our ideal candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in community development, engagement and facilitation
- Ability to build and strengthen key partnerships, including with stakeholders who may hold differing views
- Excellent written, verbal and cross-cultural communication skills, including group facilitation
- Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission
