About the role
The People Operations Lead (Head of HR Operations) is a senior leadership role delivering high-quality, compliant and scalable people operations across the organisation.

Reporting to the Director - People & Culture, the role leads industrial and employment relations, enterprise bargaining and HR operational excellence, supporting leaders with clear frameworks, strong systems and expert advice across the employee lifecycle.

Partnering with Culture, Diversity & Inclusion, the role ensures cultural ambitions are underpinned by strong policy and practice.
The role leads a high-performing HR advisory function in a complex, service-driven environment.

Your duties include:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the People Operations team to deliver consistent, high-quality HR advisory, recruitment, and people operations services
  • Partner with Executive, Directors and other senior leaders to deliver favourable outcomes
  • Provide strategic leadership on industrial relations and employment risk, ensuring compliance with legislation, enterprise agreements, and organisational policy
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end HR processes across the employee lifecycle to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance

Our ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or a related discipline
  • Membership (or eligibility for membership) with AHRI or a comparable professional body
  • Significant experience leading HR operations in a complex, unionised, and regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise agreement bargaining and implementation
  • Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission
