About the role
The AOD Peer Cadet is an entry level role in the AOD Service System for people with lived and/or experience of drug and/or alcohol use. The AOD Peer Cadet will spend time observing other AOD staff, receiving regular supervision, and will progress to provide initial support for people who use drugs (PWUD) linking them to services.

This position will be based at various sites, with rotation 3-month rotations during employment.

Your duties include:

  • Be the first line of engagement for people who use drugs in centre-based settings
  • Learn entry-level administrative tasks, such as completing timesheets, documenting client engagement, record keeping for data collection
  • Enhance knowledge and skills through learning on the job and participation in professional development activities
