About the role
This position sits in the Royal Children's Hospital, Urgent Care Clinic, which provides GP-led care for urgent but non-life-threatening conditions, 7 days a week, up to 16 hours a day. The Client Services Officer (CSO) is the first point of contract for the patients accessing the UCC and is responsible for client reception, registration, maintaining accurate records, processing Medicare claims, and providing direct support to clinical staff.

Your duties include:

  • Perform daily opening & closing procedures including preparation of work areas, equipment checks, and secure closing of records and premises
  • Register new patients maintain/update all records pertaining to clients
  • Respond Promptly & professionally to patient queries via phone, email or in person providing accurate information and guidance
  • Comply and adhere to all cohealth policies and procedures including code of conduct and values

Our ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience working in a medical practice, customer service or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience and skills with standard computer software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Experience with face-to-face customer service
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
