About the role
Janoak is a supported accommodation program for adults who experience significant mental health difficulties, and are supported in their personal care needs, participating in a recovery-oriented program.
Janoak Personal Care Workers are responsible for personal care and domestic duties including maintaining high cleanliness and infection control standards and assistance with meals for the residents.
Additionally, Personal Care Workers are required to assist residents with daily living skills and to participate in the ongoing monitoring of residents' well-being.
Casual Personal Care Workers may be asked to pick up any of the shifts at Janoak, as required. Penalties and allowances are applied for afterhours shifts.

Your duties include:
- Support residents with their personal care needs
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and/or assist residents with meal preparation as required
- Undertake general household duties and/or assist residents with household duties
- Manage, prompt and observe medication for residents

Our ideal candidate:
- Certificate level qualification or above in Mental Health, Home & Community Care, Personal Care or Disability preferred
- Experience in working with older people and/or people who experience mental health concerns or a disability
- Relevant qualifications in: Food Handling, First Aid Level 2, Medication management, Infection control will be a requirement of the role and provided if successful
- Able to demonstrate good written communication and interpersonal skills
