About the role
The Lifestyle Support Worker provides day-to-day operational support for program planning and delivery. The Lifestyle Support Worker will work with consumers and their carers to achieve the client's individual goals while meeting the needs of the group. This position is in Carlton. Alternate work locations will be required on occasion. Please refer to the Position Description for more information.
Your duties include:
- Plan and facilitate group activities to older people
- Provide flexible respite services to carers in their preferred location
- Set up and store equipment and resources
- Participate in client transport, including driving the centre vehicles, inclusive of an 8-seater van

Our ideal candidate:
- Certificate 3 in Aged Care or equivalent with 12 months experience in a similar role and/or Certificate 4 in Leisure and Lifestyle with 6 months experience in a similar role.
- Proof of qualification to be sighted
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Social Support and Flexible Respite programs that meet the needs of older people, people with disabilities, and people with memory impairment.
All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
